For the Day

Once the light shined in,
Now the darkness overpowers.

Once the sun shined against my face,
Now the moon hides me in shadows.

I wait for the time to pass,
So the sun can shine through.

Alas, the sun is scared to appear,
I am cast into the darkness with no escape near.

For the day is over,
Nothing is near.

For my day is done...
