on my knees
with childhood innocence
gathering twilight dew drops
into the tousled hair of youth
disappointments do not exist
in the glittering worlds of
everfull cookie jars
moist grass reflects
crayon drawings of years to come
brights replaced with pastels
the orange nearly faded from
the sun's powerful rays
what should I care?
I make snow angels
in the morning grass
