You could hide beside me
Live your life in my shadow
So no one around us can see
All the things you think are imperfections
Even when they tell me how beautiful you are
You could hide beside me
Thinking that you aren't as strong as you really are
Telling yourself that you aren't good enough
All I see is the love you give to me
All I feel is the joy of having you near
You could hide beside me
Letting my love shield you from the world
Even when I know that there's nothing you can't handle
Making me feel as though you can't bear the thought
Of living your life any other way
So hide beside me all you like
I'm willing to bear the burden of all your troubles
Willing to calm all of your fears
My arms will always be here to hold you
My heart will always be here to love you
A really, really rough first draft, straight from the head to the keyboard.

What an absolutely beautiful write! The woman you have written this to is a lucky one. It is hard to find someone willing to hold you throughout your troubled times. This poem flows well and it brings the reader a real sense of comfort, brilliant write as always

Straight from the head and straight to the keyboard is where raw emotion is at it's most powerful, I think this is awesome the way it is. Very easy to relate to whether your the person hiding or the person shielding you can connect on both levels. Well done with this piece,
