Dear God, please hold your arms out stretched
Receive my loving dad
He's on his way to meet with you
And i know i should feel sad

But deep inside i have this strength
This strength you gave me too
I know he will begin his life
In heaven, there with you

You also gave me precious time
To have him here with me
He brought such love and happiness
To my whole family

You gave me happy memories
Good times and laughter too
You also gave us times of trial
But you always got us through

My dad was there through thick and thin
Would always guide me through
He'd comfort me and show me love
He'd make me feel like new

I thank you God for for giving us
This precious man, we've known
I also know whole heartedly
That angels are on loan
