If everyone would vote for me,
Than everyone would vote for peace.
And nay a single soul would fall,
Or strain for laughter after all.
In me you trust, with me you cry,
Without me you'd want to die.
Instead on rainy days we lie,
And weep amidst a muttered, "Why?"
It almost tickles me to think,
That most people could never sink,
Below the standards they have set,
To have the life the feel they get.
And in my name they say they claim
Everything they call their name.
But nothing ever comes to be,
And love, my name, is never free.
