Split Apart

I've built walls around my heart,
Walls around my world.
No ceiling do I keep,
Yellow and black are swirled.

I've been moving oh so fast,
With nothing left to show.
Nothing ever stops,
Everything is go.

The sky above seems separate,
It moves at its own pace,
And life keeps flying by
As if this were a race.

With secrets locked away,
The stars spin round and round,
Taunting me at night
Without a single sound.

Someday I hope to find
The key into my heart.
But until then, I guess I'll spend
A lifetime split apart.
