a wizard and a maiden
had been walking through the street
when suddenly, the maiden dropped
right down to her feet
'get up,' said the wizard.
'this is not the time to show
the good people of this town
that this is the furthest we will go'
and the maiden looked up at him
and could not understand why
it was so important to the wizard
that the town not see him cry
'please, let us stop here,
my feet are not all right...'
the maiden began to plead
and the wizard had gone off to the night
the town had grown very cold
and the maiden very alone
the darkness had prevented her
from finding a way back home
the maiden had loved the wizard
that's why she didn't know
why he would ever leave the town
and go for the unknown
many wizards have passed her by
with different magic to please
but they were not like her wizard
they did not have what she'd need
now she sits up in a castle
her eyes cast on the sea
she waits for the sorcerer
that caught her with wizardry
they pass each other without a word
both remembering the dream
the wizard and the maiden
who never get to be

the story of a wizard and maiden who loved one another.
they lived in a dreamworld and have found no greater passion than the other.
they are forced to part ways because the dream doesn't exist,
and reality takes over.
when the dreams carry weight is when i will find you again.

I have never had a tear drop from my eye over a poem before. This is the closes I have gotten as I sniff back what could have rained down, I'l take this and put it in my pocket. This has such a very sad true-ness to it, almost to much to want to believe. I'll stay in my dreams all night as long as you promise you'll find me there so we can live together in bliss.

This sooooo reminds me of my life right now... Long story, but suffice it to say, that I am waiting for my dream to carry weight... I have found the one that holds my heart, but yet, we are still living but a dream with so many miles between us, and other obstacles in our way... But one day.....

wow, what a beautiful line;

this is such a playful narrative idea, and yet still so sad.
I wish the wizard had cared more for the maiden; stood up for her when the time came.
She deserved that.
