Aching like the worst sentiment of love
pain like the heartbeat of loss
How a man's heart can ache with pain
that simply beats with rhythms
of loss without human love
You may not know it until you have pain
that grows stronger with living
tuned to life itself through illness of a kind
that causes such great pain
Then can your heart ache in pure love
as you fight your pain alongside
the only One who is Love

Hi, Jack. And I was just grousing about a sore back
in a ranting way.
Sending huge hugs your way to counter the cold
and the pain! You are blessed to have your faith
the carry you along!

Faith sometimes fails...
then I must pray again for relief, and I find new strength to go in on the cold. Is that renewed faith? I guess so. Yet the cold persists. Jack, again -

Well, in additon to the heat pads and the hot shower,
how about Cayenne? Not only the cream rubs that warm,
as a spice to add to your soup or your pasta. That might
fire you up!! Hoping so!!

Alergic to Calyenne
Maybe it was a joke, Arty, but I can't pass reference to it and note that this simple powder makes whatever it touches on me blister. Had it in a creme once along with jalepeno, which I knew I could not tolerate, but thought in cream different. Couldn't get the stuff off my skin fast enough, and then not completely. Knew had reaction to Cayeene from a cooking class I took. Used to season a Mexican dish. Hot tamale, I couldn't get enough water after we tested the class dish. Guess I've made my point too abundantly clear. If for real, I'm sorry, Arty. If a joke, just chalk it up to a lack of a sense of humor on my part. Sorry, Arty Jack. -

Oh, my goodness---didn't know about your allergy.
I have seen so many references to its use I thought
it might be helpful. Never tried it, for it seemed
stronger than anything I would need!

Remembered Pain
I remember having a pain in my back. How I would squirm, and cuss it, but keep on going, hoping it would go away. It never did, until I quit writing. Almost wish I could have one now, instead of the numbing cold that covers my back. Numbness doesn't hurt, it's the brain that screams. Jack -

Oh, Jack---I wish I could send you relief,
that would give the same feeling as standing
under a hot shower---for that might take away
the cold and the numbness for a bit!!
Do you have a couple heat pads plugged in?
Magic numbness dimmers!
