I don’t know where this path
may lead….for our days are not
promised to us.



But in those days I looked back,
and saw your hand reaching.

 

 

 

 

I want you to know how much I
appreciate you for not walking by
while I laid there weeping.

 

 

 


Or talked about me behind my back
cursing. You didn’t love me with conditions
or make me feel worthless.

 

 


You showed yourself full of love with
empathy and for that I will always
be grateful.

 

 

 


You didn’t know,
I leaned on your words, as they
held me in the balance and lifted
my soul, brought me ease against
life storms.

 

 


You sat with me, didn’t expect
more than what I could give.
which was nothing…

 

 

 


I just wanted to say “thank you”
for showing your self true and
faithful, not ever being a fair
weathered friend.

 

 


I was blessed more than you

    you are a beautiful person. i don't know how i didn't see this poem. there are not many out there who are like that let alone who really want to be like that. it's a struggle for me. i guess i believe in true friendships like this and seem to be disappointed over and over. but it's those times that i need to re-focus on what type of friend i am to others, not what they are to me. it gives me more happiness to be there for others anyway. then i feel my life is back on track again. but i do have to say that to have at least someone who is there no matter what... who sees what we are and still finds the good, THAT is a wonderful thing and something not to be taken lightly. i never would. thank you for sharing such a beautiful reminder of that.

    This piece has a great transparency about what we need to give and acknowledge for friendship. We all get so busy that our loves and friendships worth to us goes unsaid and unappreciated.     My dear one your words have humbled me, to look at myself have i been there for you enough?
    Have i been there for all my friends?

    I have been here almost 5 yrs and could not ask for more love.

    Friends the ones that are true, they stick to you and will never go away.. I used to tell Jin all the time that I bought a super size bottle of superglue and doused her with it.. and I was stuck to her, I wasn't going anywhere.. The same is for you.. I found for me that my friends, the ones that never left were the ones that held me together when everything around me was crumbling. That's how you can who your friends really are.. the fair weather friends, take off at the first sign of trouble, like the impending storm, you look and they aren't there anymore. I made you a promise when we first met, I'm not going anywhere.. and yeah I say I'm leaving here, not coming back.. do you see where I am now? I'm here, this is home, one of my homes.. I have other places that I go, but I always come home.. Life hands us a raw deal at times, yeah and it sucks but you can count on me, I'll be there and if I'm not online, you know I'll always answer. This is a beautiful poem written from your heart and it's so deep.

    my dear sister and friend you say here that you could give nothing.. but you are so wrong there, you give to me as much and more than you think. You mean the world to me and your words have touched me and yes I cried. Something that I don't often do and don't admit to that often.

    Wisdom tells me love with conditions isn't love. I see the work of a beautiful mind struggling to realize the perfection of the soul inside. So just remember, we do not fly on wings of altruism or sink on wings of sin, but we soar only when we are light enough to ride the zephyrs made by laughter of the stars. The value judgments of men are but footnotes to the tyranny of ego. Ignore them and be cleansed, light enough to sail upon the tiny photons of meaning permeating the universe.
