Sweet childhood roses
Lie in her beautiful cheeks.
The ignorance of naiveness,
The beautiful heart of joy.
The sense inside the mirror;
She sees her little face.
Entirely her world:
Her family and surroundings
Covering the wild outside.
What beauty there lies
In the ignorance of youth.
How being unaware affects us
And teaches our salvation,
While the bloody hand of the devil
Tugs our pretty sleeves,
Forces us to commit
The outer hates of the world.
Never let the pretty ones
Or those not quite so prefect,
Fall out of the arms of love and God.
