Romeo and Juliet

I watch from afar...
so many warnings and signs
but for you to heed them, that would be pointless
The play begins

I am outside your window,
I am your Romeo
I am home honey
Come greet me
I need your love

My adrenlaline pumps as I pick the door
(seems I have forgotten my key my Juliet)
My footsteps are quiet, like our home
My mind is crazed but silent like my mind
Oh how I've missed you
My Juliet

There are portraits of the man who claims to be your Romeo
but I know it is you who calls for me every night
Calling for your real Romeo
I am here my Juliet
I am home
And every moment
I grow closer to you
I have a gift for you my Juliet

A white rose

Ascend the stairs
I know you will be there to greet me home
To welcome me into your arms
I know you have needed me this whole time
You crave me as I crave you

You see me for who I am don't you Juliet?
You know I am not what people claim me to be
I am your Romeo locked away
So set me free
Please

Step quietly like a cat
everything becomes a hazy red
Yes my Juliet
see the world the way I see it

I am above you now
your face so beautiful
eyes closed
so unaware your Romeo has come
The moment of our joyous reunioun
fades....

I HAVE ANSWERED YOUR CALL JULIET
WILL YOU NOT ANSWER MINE!?

I have waited for you
I have waited for the fake Romeo to leave
Now I have you
Where is the love you promised me from your balcony?
The rose from your garden you planted for me
Our love was as pure as clear water
Now it shall run red with hate

And your blood

I stroke your face
So perfect
your awake...
Perfect

Tightening grasp
frantic struggle...
Don't fight me love
I shall sing to you my love
My Juliet, my song to you
Our song

A kiss from a rose...
A rose with poisinous thorns
Yes Juliet, dance for me upon your bed
Sing with me through your screams
Yes mark me with thrashing love
Look at me those kind eyes
Cry those tears of joy

Your dancing has slowed
and you sing no more..
Why Juliet?
Why did you not welcome me, as you had promised me?
I hurt now
and the red haze is gone...
You never got to see it
All you see now is black
That is all you shall ever see
my Juliet

Yet...
You awaken
You curse
How could you curse your Romeo
My Juliet, I call out
How I have longed for you

But I need you silent again
My rose
is my body
My thorn
is my blade

prick once
a shudder
prick twice
a wince
prick again
again...

Yes my love our white rose
now red...
red with your love

Sleep my Juliet
Sleep forever

I hear my Juliet calling me now
She calls from afar
across the way
In the next home
I hear her calling

I am outside your window Juliet
It seems I have forgotten my key
I pick the lock
I am home once again

Oh my Juliet
I have a gift for you...

Author notes

This is one of my darker poems
From the view of someone that has lost one too many screws
Anyways this was for a contest
I hope you enjoy
