Fait Accompli !

He could be a charmed magician
entertaining in the street,
looking for some recognition
while he tries to make ends meet.

He could be a pitched musician
playing to a modern beat,
or compose his own rendition
of Schubert’s strings on music sheet.

He could be a top physician
whose practice is to be discreet,
or be an expert dietician
teaching people how to eat.

He could be a politician,
pledge promises that oft repeat,
then like a ghostly apparition,
word reneged, take retreat.

But life forged a distinct mission,
for a man of verbal feat,
a master of rare composition
who measures life with metric feet.

A troubadour of fine tradition
whose words leaves soul replete,
this bard, a sage and sound logician
is top notch poet, one quite elite.

So, if you’re of a disposition
to partake of something sweet,
you’ll find his words an acquisition
that will give taste buds a treat.
