Darkness will hang above my head
If you decide on ending life
Darkness will reside inside my soul
If you decide on deaths door
Will she be forced to watch
The downfall of a man
Will she be forced once again
The closing of another door
Hands shake as another thought whispers through an unstable mind
Raining once again inside a head that doesn't want another life to end
Blood will stain hands for all eternity with no hope of it ever washing off
Washing off...
Down into Hell
Passing as she fails
Clinging to something
Anything hoping it doesn't fall away
Rain washes down as he hates the cold
The sun decides to hide instead of warm him
Should have kept his body warm
Instead of the cold empty rain
Making it cold and clammy
Should have warmed him
But instead....
Darkness will hang
What did you think

Amazing, you penned it so well, I read it about 3 times now, getting a little more out of it every time... Very intense write this...
My favorite line is:
'Blood will stain hands for all eternity with no hope of it ever washing off'
Keep on penning with ink that never fade
illusion

this was really interesting, excellent imagery and the lines capture attention from beginning to end. I liked how you started this piece with questioning what will happen next and then don't reveal it at the end, but leave the reader hanging. I like poems like that because it allows the reader to think about the possibilities of what could have happened. Thanks for sharing and keep that pen flowing.

This is a dark poem hon. I hate to see you feel this way. The sun will come out and shine again. Cold never lasts, and the rain brings new life, strengthens it and brings fresh growth. Do not be disheartened.
