into the sea
the wild blue-green
my bottle will float
crest a wave and weave
a buoyant journey
through a salt crusted haze
an emerald and sapphire
prismatic light maze
remaining ever above
the underwater creatures
the bubble blowers
and the seaweed eaters
it will climb
violent towers of froth
and be smashed by
collapsing walls of water lost
the distance will end
fragments in a pebble land
edges worn and caressed
by the sea,
a foe and a friend.
