9/20/09 – The Truth of Lies
Listen, to me!
Watch, as I speak!
My eyes grow wide,
As my mind grows weak,
From the feeling of loss,
That I find at their feet, this,
Is why my heart continues to weep.
Those ignorant fools, who,
Try to complain,
As they sit on their butts,
With faces full of disdain,
For that which they know,
They are supposed to learn,
But they fail to apply,
Despite their teachers’ concerns.
I mean, that’s why we’re here,
To live and to learn,
But some stupid people, just,
Want to crash and burn.
I mean look at us here,
We sit in this room,
Trying to understand,
How to let our minds bloom,
But still end up blocked,
By a plugged up flume,
Where openness to diversity,
Is said to have been groomed.
Gone are the days,
Where we all thought as one,
With our heads in the clouds,
Left by society’s smoking gun,
Which was aimed at the cultures,
That didn’t succumb,
To the simple assimilation,
Before all was said and done.
But by now you are wondering,
If I will ever finish this piece,
As I stand here seeming to ramble,
Making any sense? Not the least.
Maybe later you’ll realize,
That I was released,
From the burden of society’s,
Evil beast.
But for now I will leave you,
With a very simple thought,
Learn to remember,
Memorize, and it will rot.
