You say you are my best friend
You'd never get mad at me
But shes a better friend than you
She's never let go, ya see?
She'll let me ramble for hours,
Or call at any time of night.
I don't think we've ever had
Any kind of fight
She loves me without condition
And isn't ashamed of me
She lets me dye my hair blue
And takes me out for the world to see.
She's been there when I've cried
For the past six years
And no matter what I am afraid of
She dispels my fears.
She's never wanted to change me
Then again, neither has he,
You are the only one who can't accept me
Being who I need to be
Yes I am a little different,
No, You're parents will never approve
But ya see, Neither of theirs do either
And they love me anyways.
So here is what I say to you,
Since you think I have so many flaws
Go find another friend like me
One who listens to you cry
You have no idea what pain is
You in your perfect life.
You have a couple of problems,
I won't say you do not
But you're not judged by how you dye your hair
People don't think your tryin to be hot.
Let me be the person I am
A little different, a little odd
I am happy this way
Everyone else still loves me, even God
I'm sorry I'm not like you
I'll never have straight A's
But dangit, I am who I am.
I never want to change.
