Jungle Gym Goodbyes

On the swing set we went up and down.
And now I’ve jumped from you,
and stayed upright during this entire leap and landing.
Though my legs are weary from the swing set,
I’ll never be IT when you chase me again.
You helped me become a pro at emotion hide and seek
Well, I found my hidden happiness.
And I don’t seek much else.
So I’ll Cut the ties between yesterday and today.
And start a whole new game of jump rope.
You scraped my knee,
but I’ve got my ‘Hello-Kitty’ band aid now.
