Leaves
turning for
the season
from their limbs, fall,
silently. I see the curving
of your smile in their falling
from the breeze of cool wind,
and the essence of your being
my mind discerns it all.I can
see your beauty in their slow
descent to the ground
and upon every gaze
I want to weep,
let my tears
flow.
birds
chirp happy
tunes try to
lure me out of
of my grief but
not even their songs
erase my sadness and
when I stare at Autumn skies
the clouds fill up with the rain
they too feel my missing you
and my throes of unending
pain as they hear the
wails and cries
as my heart
dies.
And
through it
all I want to kiss
you but this vision
that I'm seeing now
is all that I 'm allowed
to view, so since we are
so far apart I can make you up
in my dreams until by chance
you ever return and then
I can always and forever
hold you and
never let
go.
