Messy, messy, messy!
Messes everywhere!
There's dolls dallying on the bed,
and cars parked under it.
The books are off the shelves,
with crayons and paper scattered about.
Too many stuffed creatures to count
crowd around it corners and on shelves.
Messy, messy, messy!
Messes everywhere!
Peanut butter smears on the table
aren't as bad as the jelly on the wall.
You dropped an egg on the floor
and spilled your milk on the counter.
My dinner helpers may not be the tidiest,
but it's worth the smiles and giggles.
Messy, messy, messy!
Messes everywhere!
That much toilet paper won't fit down there -
You're going to cause another flood!
The toothpaste goes IN your mouth -
NOT all over your brother's hair!
If there wasn't water everywhere,
bathtie could be lots of fun...
Messy, messy, messy!
Messes everywhere!
Now I get to clean up what's left behind.
You're all tucked in safe and sound.
I hate picking up your squallor,
but you're worth the disorder and disarray.
I would never trade you for anything,
because it's all woth it at the end of the day.
Author notes
I wrote this one night after a particular "energetic" night with my two little monsters...

Just for fun...
