Shared Consciousness

I marvel at the human mind:

searching out truth; seeking divine.

A powerful and awesome tool;

magnificent, yet, often fooled.



As varied as the human race,

with infinite and finite taste;

yet, terrifyingly alone,

within our minds our souls are shown.



Our fantasies can come to life;

nightmarish visions can cause strife.

Internal battles waging wars;

our dreams transpire to be more.



So many things we long to be,

will only by our minds be seen.

The varied possibilities

of where we want our lives to lead.



Yet, truth must first be thought and dreamed,

to then become reality.

So are our lives truly defined

by what’s conceived within our mind?



And so, I ask, what if Divine

is truth only within our minds,

and life is our shared consciousness,

what happens when we don’t exist?
