    Ultra delight

The first movement of this quintet reminded me of softly, swaying leaves on autumn breezes, rhythmically making their way to the ground. The second movement was each leaf's solo dance, and the finale, a grand, graceful bow from all. Then I saw the little animated dancers at the bottom of the screen (because when I play the music link, it turns my whole screen gray), and I thought, what a sweet minuet for those minute couples! Oh, the Lepton Ball is the place to be this season! Filled ultra supreme music and delight!

thanks for sharing your perceptions- interesting that you perceived the middle part as solos (it was an abstraction, actually, with the flute playing three beats ahead of everyone else)... and yes, a ball needs a minuet, but I still have to write it- you see, a minuet is in 3/4 time (I'm sure you knew that) and this piece jumps from 4/4 to 5/4 (just had to do a woodwind quintet in 5/4! a tribute to jazz, I think)... so, a minuet, yes... I am a softy for 3/4 anyway- both of Random Goldfish's latest orchestral scores are 3/4, and I love them... I wrote for hours with them looping and never tired of them...

My perceptions are generally worth zero when it comes to music. I only visualize certain things when I hear it, then share the visualizations if anyone's interested (usually they are not). As far as using musical terms, I am a zero there as well. I only used "solo" because I could hear one instrument above the others, and I only used "minuet" because it was a turning of the letters in "minute". I think I should stick to "I like it" or "I don't like it" when I talk music with you, and I'll leave all the technicalities to you and Random Goldfish. So scratch everything I said above, and replace it with, "I like it".

I like you eloquent waxings (and that is half the fun in commenting! ) (and it is beneficial to waxer and the waxee).. so wax on... (makes for a shinier life, getting waxed...) (and yes, I had fun with this comment...)

???? just wondering if this one might be a work in progress. But then there might be more to this than what the quick comment is showing me. I dunno will have to check on it later. Thanks for sharing this with us.
