a touch
and the shivers run up
from my fingertips to my lips
urging me to kiss
I brush
velvet skin
silken hair
warm coolness
wet desire
and I tingle
you still thrill me
still enchant me
still awaken
my thirst
for more
always
more
always
you

When a man is upset, his soul is a Lion's Den, but when he feels he is exactly where he desires most to be, his soul is that of a weightless bird. What a wonderful feeling. Thank you for sharing that experience.

When a man is exactly where he wants to be, and that place (or the woman who IS that place) is somehow threatened, the agony can be damn near lethal.
I wanted badly to show her with this work that despite the changes to her body, nothing has changed between us. I think it may have helped, at lest a bit...at least for a while. So much of a woman's self-image is tied to her body...which I think is mostly the fault of men...
...anymore, ya don't have to wonder what happened to "love" as a concept absent physical attraction, you really have to wonder that there is any room left for it at all, and that...that's heartbreaking!

sweeet
the love you have for her always warms my heart... so true and deep, eric. This is more than beautiful, just like your love.

I'm sorry, Mel...the day you left this comment was the day of my last stroke, and I never saw it until today when I got the notice of Simon's comment. Since you know from way back, this means even more to me...
I sent that email, by the way.

sensual and sensational. love is grand and it looks like you've been there and will be there for a lifetime. beautifully erotic in wonderfully subtle tones. glad to read your poetry mr. eric. i am touched.

This says so much with so little. Very Imagist bordering on the Zen! Very good.
