There is a doorway,
I know it is here somewhere,
beyond temptations,
beyond the broken thing I have become.
I know you will find me when I close my eyes,
so I try to keep them close,
and yet here I am trapped in my nightmares,
where you corner me.
And yet when I wake,
the remnants remain,
and I can see that there is beauty
within my temptations.
If I don't give in,
then I will be so much stronger than you,
and perhaps I will win against
the demons that plauge me.

This is haunting. It is so sad, that you can't escape when you close your eyes. It is even sadder that it lingers when you are awake. Maybe one day you will be free.
