Your smile,
Like your touch
Like your wit
And your love
Sink into me
like the sun
Into the leaves
Of the trees
Your words
Like your thoughts
Like your life
And your love
Leave me
In a sudden moment
Gone—
Like childhood’s joy.

Intriguing
This was a captivating read. I must commend you on your simile, "like the sun", immediately thought of our Caribbean climate. Needless to say, beautiful imagery and concept. The last stanza, was so dramatic, the sharp turn from the good memories to "Gone-" was so strong. The title was a bit confusing, I'm wondering where you were going with it. In essence, this was enjoyable.
