Trick or Treat

Hey! up there, it's Halloween

    you've got the funniest house

 

I've ever seen

 

I'll climb the stairs into the tree

if you'll come out, and talk to me

 

Do you always have

                     those big red eyes

I thought at first

                     it was your disguise

 

Why do the bats

                      fly near your tree

Do they live in the branches

                  where no one can see

 

I came to visit and say

                            "Trick or Treat"

Can you give me candy or

                        something to eat

 

I won't trick if you treat

give me something good to eat

 

Suddenly I fell

         to the bottom of the stairs

I woke from a horrible

                                nightmare

 

Oh! my gosh what a dream

      that was the strangest house

I've ever seen

 

Safely at home and in my bed

 

It's Halloween

          now that I suddenly dread

    Spooky

    Halloween is the time of year
    We allow ourselves to feel the fear
    The notion of the nightmare so
    Scary houses are the place to go
    The picture and the words alight
    Into my mind a decent fright

    The flow seemed a bit off, but I still enjoyed reading it. The flow might be better if it was all in the same alignment(in my opinion).It also goes great with the picture. Thanks for entering and Good luck in our contest.
