Seeing You Part 2

I sit on the bench that I once sat on,
One long year ago; That same bench
Where I had thought about a different boy.
I think the bench has moved.
The already-heavy wind blows wisps of my hair around.
The geese swim innocently on the lake.
How far have I moved since that day?
As far as this bench? Farther?
I think of how much has happened -
A whole year of love and hurt.
But the lake looks the same.
There are those same ripples,
But now a different face,
A more pleasant one.
I think those trees are new.
The scene is different; I am different.
Yet I am still sitting here, on this bench,
Thinking about a boy
And studying the lake.

Author notes

This references a poem I wrote a year ago, "Seeing You", so to understand this one better, you might want to read that one. http://allpoetry.com/poem/4608865

Also, I just realized I wrote this one exactly a year later, to the date.
And I forgot about the line about the wind in the old poem when I wrote this one, haha. Apparently I just like writing about the wind in my hair.

Please tell me what you think
