I never thought I would be so tough,
as to watch my heart break,
and hold my breathe-
as I effortlessly watch you drive away.
I always knew it would cause pain,
as I had said it was a "long time coming"...
but as you pull away,
I'll do my best, not to let you know I suffer.
You used to talk of plans to move,
so easily & confident it would work.
Now I hate to say - I am joyed to see,
that in your heart, I can tell it hurts.
Leaving was your dream & life,
but I think you have found in time -
that life changes your plans for you,
and it's not what you thought you'd find.
But I'll let you go, and set you free,
through my tears I will give you my blessing.
I'll keep in my thoughts, if it's meant to be
together we're learning a life-long lesson
We both will grow & soon develop
a new way to live our lives.
If it happens to lead us back together,
no longer will we say our "goodbye's"
So a sweet kiss to part our ways for now...
and no sadness, cuz we know that it's ok.
I'm already waiting on your return arrival,
and until then I'll cherish every moment of our days ( :
