I swallow the fear and lick the stardust from my fingers,
Relishing its sweet taste.
I run my fingers through the silken webs, and look at the pools that entrap me.
I can't escape.
The stars reach out and brush my face, my lips, my neck, my soul.
and I don't want to.
I must pay for my time, spent among the clouds, that rushed by,
but I'm broke.
I want to pay with what I have, but it seems like not enough.
and its too much.
I have to give a raincheck to the moon, and the sun, promise it at a later time,
a different place.
they accept, and sprinkle me with comets, my nerves burning on every side
and I melt.
The liquid starshine keeps me within the bubble that I blow,
and floats me up.
I taste the milkyway running through my heart, and I'm lost
but also found
and in the end i regret my hesitation, the keeping of the moon, so i vow,
to give it away
And i swallow mmy fear and lick the stardust from my fingers,
Relishing its sweet taste.
