Once there was a lad called Yew,
who dressed up as a kangaroo.
He only did it just for fun,
And never ever hurt no-one.
But everybody picked on Yew,
For dressing like a kangaroo.
And he decided then and there,
For his revenge, they should beware!
While everyone, one day at night,
Was at the bonfire, burning bright..
An uninvited Yew was sad..
Went to the village, hopping mad.
He set the village town ablaze,
Then bounced away in the smokey haze.
The townsfolk ran back to their town,
Burned to ashes on the ground.
And pointing fingers as they do..
was it you, or you, or... Yew!?!
The sheriff arrived and he asked "Who,
could burn the village? Is it true?"
And everybody shouted "YEW!!"
The sheriff turned and looked toward "Yew",
And only saw a kangaroo!
So the sheriff was taken away..
And still committed to this day.
Misunderstood, because of Yew..
"Who Burned The Village", Kangaroo.

About this Title: It was a random line that came to me while co-writing another poem. Loved it! So I challenged myself to a personal contest..
My own Prompt!: Burned the Village, Kangaroo
1 Rule: Had to use this random line at least once in the poem the way it came to me. I guess quotes are ok
.
For Chell (suicide666).. wouldn't have thought of it without ya!
