flowers

spring tangled with the breath
                   of an open door

and she painted daisies
over her irises

then expected him not to notice
diamonds were missing
                   from her eyes
and her smile

he smothered summer over
    her embrace

                       and plucked
the purest bouquet
from her gaze
   before she had chance to
   crush his fingertips

and as the onset of autumn
closed the door
            with russet flavours

he promised

                   to shelter her

from the harshest season

until her laugh echoed
with seeds of lavender
                                 and rose

This piece was nothing short of stunning; I'm not entirely sure, but I think you just planted a garden in my mind. Wonderfully written; you have such a pretty way with words. Thank you for sharing!
