Afraid to love again, afraid to live. I think I can relate to Cloud. A simple, quiet character with so much passion buried inside him.
He had it easy, I never had a Sephiroth.
So here I am; there I was: waiting for some "message from god" telling me what I could do with my life. A hidden meaning or hidden purpose to this world. Some tiny forgotten clue. I wouldn't have hesitated, to wake up from this nightmare.
I don't get to be a one dimensional character in a movie. Cuz this lil 'Phoenix' has to figure it out on his own. You might think it would be depressing to give up on everything you ever believed it. It really isn't... once you comprehend the insanity of it all. It's almost a relief, knowing with absolute certainty that I'm stuck here.
"A hundred days, have made me older.
Since the last time I saw your pretty face.
A thousand lies have made me colder.
And I don't think I can look at this the same.
But all the miles that separate
Disappear now when I'm dreaming of your face."
Oh baby, I wish I wasn't so alone.

I really like the lines:
'A hundred days, have made me older.
Since the last time I saw your pretty face.
A thousand lies have made me colder.
And I don't think I can look at this the same.
But all the miles that separate
Disappear now when I'm dreaming of your face.'
They leave the reader with a deep emotional response and sort of tie together the rest of the poem.
I like it, thanks for sharing. -
