I am a junkie through and through,
Not for drugs, only for you,
You took me and I craved for more,
Then you walked right out my door
Craving for your tender touch,
Goddess tell me why I love him so much?
When will detoxification end?
How can you leave your heart, your friend?
You speak of me not loving you, I'm trying to get a fix,
There is no getting over you, my mind is playing tricks,
I'm wasted, craving you each day,
The only thing to do is pray
One day at a time,
Your love was mine,
I need a fix,
Slowly, slowly the clock ticks
Please tell me what you think

Great rhyme that pulls the poem from one end to the other without a hitch, such you've done well here. And I guess we're all junkies to something, be it drugs, chocolate or the love sweet as you show here. If only that damn love would stay and not wonder off like it sometimes does. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Incredible. This is a very well done poem. It is composed well and the emotions really stand out. Great job on this Georgie.

This is fantastic... It help me captivated until the very last word... Great piece. Words very descriptive of how you were feeling... I hope he comes back or you find a better replacement soon. I was once in love this way, with my first husband. He was killed in an accident on his job and I had to really go it "cold turkey". I love the flow of this poem...
the rhyming is also very good. Thank you for sharing.

Love is cotton shivers jabed in deep. It's a taste of glass and thin hollowed steel. It's about getting high and fuck the world. It's a dime bag-doulble nickles
scored on the corner. It's about knodding out...main-lining or chasing the dragon. It's lost and nowhere. We're all junkies...Jesus I need a fix!
