The Strength To Cry

maybe it is difficult to understand
how love can twist like razors in my heart
loving someone is not always for the gifted
and I fail to be a complete person

love is not retracted in one statement of fact
and it lingers on the tongue bleeding in my mouth
for your hatred burns my very core
and scarlet letters seem like lollipops
in comparison to what I put myself through

if I disappeared off of the magical earth
God took me too soon
if tragedy spoke my name
would it consume you to show your face
when they dug the six foot hole in the ground?
(destructive meltdown in a pine box
seems more comforting compared to empty sheets)

comprehending I love you is beyond sane
it counterweighs my souls strength
for torture should rest
in between my first and last name
to make the target easier for you

I suppose I should have sacrificed
my soul, my heart, my self
(for your happiness is more worthy than my own)
to simply avoid your dismantle
and seek this hand held truth

peace is simply mine to take
and prayers linger with the taste of hope
for he gave me strength to cry
and yet still walk away from your beauty
(for the love of my own eternity)

This is so poignant and so eexquisitely beautiful like amute half expressed tragic romance the shades of which linger on the canvas of the mind like a stain on my alabaster saree that refuses to be erased adamant, stubborn and infurriating. The passion and grief mingle into a heady concoction and a symphony of smiles and tears plays on heart to echo within my soul .tttttthanks glad you shared...

    Oh CJ,

This speaks volumes to me, you have let a little piece of your soul shine clearly through on this piece of peotry.

I see not deep reading between the lines here, I see the plain and simple truth that you have a heart and it too does bleed.

Never pin a target on your soul for others to hit as they do please, you are a beautiful soul so take solace and throw away the welcome matt.

Be proud, stand and never lower your gaze, I have seen that piece of road and CJ its just too damn cold to walk it alone.

Thank you poppet for such a wonderful comment. My ex has a way with words as well, and has made me feel like less of a person because of it. It is hard, and lonely at times. But slowly I'm standing back up from being not able to crawl. ama poppet!

Yes I can understand there are times when you can fall prey to those who can spin yarns three feet tall with words and then the reality sets in and you find yourself feeling kind of cold and blue.

But you must always remember to take a little pride in who you are and the things that mean allot to you, I know we are willing at times to do a little self-effacing in an effort to make things work but love is not always a two way street and I swear there are some who think it is an excuse to declare open season on abuse.

CJ, you are a great person and deserve love like all others and don't you dare settle for someone who treats you bad!

And yes I will help you with Italian

        Sei bravissima

(You are very good - sometimes the literal translation doesn't seem as grand as in Italian but it is what it is)
