~ I AM ~ {He Is~ Take 2}

I Am the reason you are breathing
A part of you since you've been teething,
The creator of life as you know.

The air you inhale is divine
While you breathe it you are fine,
Yet you shun Me as your way you go.

I light the skies you call the Heavens
Give you the days you count by sevens,
My very life is in the breezes.

Your thirst is quenched by My creations
Yet to give thanks there's hesitations,
It seems you'll wait until Hell freezes.

The time I gave you here is numbered
Living a life that seems encumbered
Filled to overflowing with despair.

I once died that you may have life
Sacrificially I destroyed strife,
Gave My everything to prove I care.

I am waiting at the altar for each one as you falter
To forgive you and return to you your joy.

I Am patient I Am loving but beware the end is coming
And to hesitate too long would be a shame.

Give your life to Me today so that I can light the way
To everlasting life as you adopt Your Saviour's name.

My word is a lamp unto thy feet.

I like this better in first person, for sure. It is much more powerful this way.

Your words are beautiful Twinny and so obviously come straight from your heart

You will always be the one who put the match to my poetic fire and for that I will be eternally grateful in more ways than you can know.

I love you, my darling Twin

The violas are flowering nicely now. I have all these little cat faces watching me as I weed. All is well in our neck of the woods, but it is DRY. that inch of rain we had a few weeks back had vanished. Mid 20's for day temps soon dries it all away. Take care. Much love from us two and the menagerie.

Hi Linda, I always treasure the 'kids'. I know that one day they will not be here.
Penny and Pete are both over the ten mark and smokey is getting close. We both accept the fact that we shall probably outlive them. They give so much and never complain.
