Just One Kiss

Holding hands as they walk in the moonlight,
No words spoken as they silently turn.
Sweet and gentle, just a brush of the lips.
Eyes searching for clues of other's response,
Hands linger... touching... slowly they part.

Is HER heart beating like mine?
Does HE feel what I feel?
Silent questions reach out in the night.

He watches her and wonders.
She smiles and remembers.
Love is left in day dreams
Afraid to be spoken,
Forever left unsaid.

Very good poetry here, simple and yet it hones the reader in, it captivates us as we let our lapis luzili run across the screen as we search it for the truth, is there truth in those words? We will never know, nor do i think I want to know. I am happy simply telling you your work is excellent and to keep it up!

Best of luck in the contest,

    Great expectation

An enticing moment of great expectation lives within this poem. I liked the nuances of the kiss and the searching feel from both. The last three lines are a fitting end to this moment, "love is left in day dreams afraid to be spoken, so it's left unsaid". Worthy of a quiet squeal and hope for another meeting!
