Hidden in the blue, skies
dreams and a heart true.
Pale gold spun light
rains sparkle dance
bright the bud within the breast
waiting bloom ready
to stand love’s tests.
Joy: a crocus rises
cries of spring. The touch
man melts skin
awakens the heart ‘ere the cold sets in.
The ash dreams beat through veins
spider webbing a pale a tender skin.
Touch will tell -- sharpen sense.
Create soul awakening with a grin.
This morning prayer of soft pale light
kisses away shadows to reveal two
souls embraced against chill of night.
Awakens, dew of lovers kiss,
she feels the fears release their grip.
Change calls for a bold bold heart
she knows in her arms lies the man
who will steal away the ghost, clouds her eyes,
fire the soul that was cold as ice.
Winter is, at last, a passing season.
Love, thank god, more than reason.
Her finger follows the flow of him,
finds her blind for a moment from the sun
shining in. Where pale and blue in naked pain
she has thought her life would remain, she finds
this blossomed dream breathing in her ear
and holds as true what he whispers to her soul
“I am not leaving. You are my white gold wonder
weaving rings of love about my soul. “

This is amazingly stunning!
I can not say in words how much this poem says, how it makes the reader fall into a natural romanticism.
Both of you have done this prompt justice.
I enjoyed it so much, i have read it three times letting the mist of it all flow over me.

This is a fragile piece and I grew from its writing. Her style and mine do not naturally compliment each other and we had to stretch our senses to arrive at something that made sense. I agree, it was well worth the effort.

I am glad you enjoyed this Novy. I am learning slowly but surely how to collaborate. liltulip is a delightful gift as a poet and kept me focused on imagery that I would not normally use and a view point that felt foreign at times. In the end, after feeling it was perhaps a fruitless effort, things began to drop into place. I really enjoyed creating this.

This was a true collaborative effort and not just add a line back and forth. It was good for me, because it made me look at things from a different paradigm. It is uncomfortable at times but often eye opening in result. Glad you liked the final fruit of our effort.
