To be forgiven
You must forgive yourself

Means to understand your crime

Means to see the harm you brought

To see the harm
Is to see the victim
To see the victim
Is to see their pain

To see their pain
Is to learn the sorrows
To learn the sorrows
Is to know the person

To know the person
Is not to befriend him
Is not to be his enemy
But to see the pain
That you have caused
And to understand
That the crime he causes
May be your fault
After all

But do not fear
Not all your crimes
Will go so far
As to cause more crimes

But understand
That it still can happen
So free yourself
With your crime

A crime can bring
Along another
But forgiveness
Just may stop
Another crime

Author notes

This was supposed to be a peom for my grandma (she who is dead) because I feel that I still cannot forgive myself. It was supposed to be a poem of her talking/helping me to forgive myself. It kinda went off track into forgiveness in my own eyes.
I understand that you may disagree with me.
