It was a regular day for all who know,
Until the terrorists came to put on their show.
They hijacked our planes and crashed into our towers,
Now lying in the rubble are hundreds of thousands of flowers.
Disbelief shook the nation as we saw the footage roll,
Never imagined was the true number that rang out for the death toll,
Helpless despair covered the faces of those,
Who jumped off the ledge with fire on their clothes.
Even the firemen who were the most composed of us all,
Fell into pieces when they saw the tower fall.
As the rubble was smoldering and the haze cleared the sky,
Hundreds of workers rushed to save those who had not died.
On that tragic day our nation froze,
And mourned for months over this barbarian show.
They thought that this would tear us down,
That like the towers we would fall to the ground.
Their plan didn’t work cause were tougher than that,
We do our best when we’re under attack.
You showed what you got now get out of our way,
Cause this is America, so get ready to pay.
To tear us down is the goal you want,
Best get ready now cause we’re on the hunt.
With a hole in our side we stand up and fight,
And just like a dog you take off in flight.
You should have known that this would mean war,
The moment you stepped through those airport doors.
For a day you caused our country to freeze,
And for years we have brought you to your knees.
So try all you want to tear us apart,
This is America we fight from the heart!
