Across the sea
we float a bouquet of dreams,
collective birthday wishes
delivered by any means.


From our hearts
we wing thoughts of love,
powered by the glowing moon
and sun high above.   


From across the globe
to the sweetest angel of all
desires for good spirits and health
and a safe Birthday Ball!!!

fitting name for her!

*"good health"--- recovering from knee surgery,
we wish the sweet angel only good health to come!

    Thanks for NOT making this a contest so I can comment on your poem which I know Joan will read while she's stuffing her dagwood sandwich (and to think she just lost all those kilos in the Aussie Hospital!!)
    I guess you'll be miffed if I don't scribble some sort of ditty here, so come on Muse! Let's give 'er a bash!

    Angelica, to me's a friend who always shows her worth;
    she isn't just a poet, she's an angel here on Earth.
    She's had her ups and downs and suffered tragedy enough
    but, when the Good Lord moulded her, He made her really tough.

    Yea, though her heart and soul are soft and warm in every way,
    yet she withstands the roughest storms that come from where they may.
    Both she and Bob have fragile health and are not over-blessed with wealth
    and yet, as friend, she knows I love her more than I can say.

    I know that, when I try to show esteem, my words are poor
    but I wish you, Bea, a Happy Day and many, many, more.

      While chatting with "the sweetest angel" last week
      I learned of this event!

      I was aiming for a look quite ethereal, reminiscent
      of dreams and hopes as she gets back to form,
      (almost) kicking up her heels!!!
