Regretful good-byes kept her mind wandering
through her past with unanswered questions of

Echoing in her thoughts as she often imagined
eventual bliss,
Yearning for more then just a physical
attraction…from him,

Had her heart given up too soon?
Though he never reached for her hand
as it slipped away,
Never called her name as she slowly began
to leave….she walked backwards,
