Some days are impossible my life's in a twirl
that pencil keeps breaking as anger unfurls,
nothing goes right, I'll erase it away
start again with sharpened point, that's what they all say.
I've sketched my life's outline, working to fill in the gaps
when I'm thrown a curved ball causing many misshaps,
once again that eraser will put all back into perspective
so that all once again appears not so defective.
So in blissful delight I'm again back on track
colouring in those spaces, whilst watching my back,
but now out in front my paths gone askew
and I'm literally left standing in a grand smudge of poo!
Oh what joy, oh the bliss, the eraser's worn down
just like my mood as I walk round with a frown,
cursing in tones that would make your ears red
for the days are now dangling by merely a thread.
But wait, there's more, if you know what I mean
you hear it in ads that make you really want to scream,
I forgot I have spares, prepared for times just like this
so life can't push me into that gaping abyss.
So always make sure you have backups around
replaced when that eraser is worn to the ground
and move on in confidence, don't look back too many times
or the rhythm of your life will end up without rhyme!

Where does a girl find one of those erasers? Put me down for a whole box. This is really cute....too bad second chances aren't so simple, huh? This was lots of fun...I can think of at least two things I'd erase already and its only noon!!!!
