Strange faces, familiar gestures;
a slight tugging of hands at skin
(grip the surface to slip underneath).
You claw your way in,
clenching nerves to get a reaction.
A smile or grimace suiting just fine.
"We'll talk later."
How many more ways can I
slur the words I've been hesitating to say?

I really enjoy the second stanza. The way you word things are beautiful. It always makes me think at things in all different perspectives

The last two lines sound familiar.
Never hesitate. Say what you need to say. Mean it. And let everything else fall into place.
