his talent fell into every role he had made.
From the older brother in the outsiders,
as a surfer on those wave board riders.
Seen him sport the long wavy hair,
also in a roadhouse with fighting flair.
To driving the black dog through a barracade,
sang a song to his wife of a loving serranade.
As a ghost to advenge his death was raw,
still I go back to his power in those brawls.
You could feel the love of his beating heart,
watching him bring out characters was art.
He glided with the greatest of ease in dance,
no one could put him in a corner by any chance.
This star shined in hearts everywhere he went,
his talent was virtuously noble and magnificent.
Galliant in everything he put his soul to,
loved the arts he did, it showed through.
Then came the news of this sickness,
to a man devoted to loving kindness.
Bravely he fought what he called the fire,
he had to get on with winning as a desire.
Still he fought a beast other than in a show,
we would all remember the courage, you know.
He fought the good fight of faith until the very end,
always admiring the love for his wife he had send.
His spirit will blow like the wind around Hollywood,
wish he could appear like in "Ghost" if he only could.
Still his dance moves where of style and grace,
eyes twinkled with always a smile on his face.
Unchained melodies mixed with all of his moves,
made all of his routines look good we all approved.
We wanted to ammulate Johnny so bad,
never to see another part has me sad.
I envision him dancing up on top of a cloud,
still wished for a different healing somehow.
Chorographing angels now up in that sky,
we know the answer no need for why.
I admired the devotion to his wife,
Losing him this way cuts like a knife.
We knew the day had to come around,
his scene ending with light so profound.
As he illuminates looking back one last time,
heads towards that light, like him, devine.
Ironic isn't it that his roles fit him so well,
now we only have memories to go on to tell.
In all the grooves, the moves, talent he shared,
feel the wind as he ended his dance with flair.
Author notes
Remembering Patrick Swayze 9/14/09, age 57. I have to add that my husband can be his look a like at times, and funny when we met I didn't notice as much as I was a major fan, until people kept saying it when they saw his picture or met up with him.

He was a good actor and the show the ghost is what I'll always remember of his. So spiritual like. I believe our loved one sometime can cross back as needed. The reason I ponder this is the time I was set afire (real fire) someone whom I thought was my mother, although she passed many years before, stood there with me guiding me, causing me to see lush wet grass (hot dry day dry grass) to lay in to smother the fire. I know it was my mothers voice. I healed so quickly after walking out of intensive care after 2 days and did so triuphantly professing that the Lord and my sisters would care for me. The doctor disagreed. Didn't mean to testify but you know howit can be. Praise God.
Wonderful testamonial for Patrick Swazy, shows how much you cared for a fellow human being. Rose

Wonderful...
A dignified Tribute to an outstanding performer/dancer/actor... a deserved Tributee. A heartfelt dedication from a learned sublime Poet to an angelic soul... "He's Like The Wind" shows the picture of a great human being blown by winds of eternity through the cosmos of love.
Closing this I leave You with words of the German Autor-Poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: “Who is the happiest of men? He who values the merits of others, and in their pleasure takes joy, even as though as they were his own.”
In respect and admiration,
