another star shimmers in the night
another light to guide us
through battles that we all shall face
a moment in time has paused
not only for me
but for the world
i seen on the news
and my heart skipped a beat
one tear appears in my eyes
but one tear is shared by many
a river flows within this world
one made by love of people that we all know
your a man that made this river rage
your dancing and romantic touch
worked a charm within this world
no matter the language
no matter the person
they all knew the name
"patrick swayze"
a man of honour
a man of corouge
and a man of strength
not only on the movies
but in the phisical ways of life
a crule desiease decended upon you
but you fought as best you could
making one last movie
for us to watch
and now its time for us to say
good bye

Simply Great!
For a moment I believed I was listening to a reporter on the TV telling of his passing.
Glad I came across this lovely tribute to a good man and a fine actor.

Beautiful, capturing how the world felt, I loved how you combined his fans tears as a river, then he was a raging river himself in his talents. I saw 2 typos at the last lines, phisical-physical...and desiease-disease. Excellent write though. Thanks for entering. Blessings.
