Remembering Patrick Swayze

Missing image

The hunky guy who danced his way
Into my heart with Dirty Dancing
And then made me cry and sent
Shivers down my spine with Ghost

A lonley Outsider who loved to surf
On the waters of Point Break
He robbed the cover of the magazine
Sexiest Man Alive ,Thanks For Everything,Julie Newmar!

She's Like the Wind bellowed in my ears
As I sat in this old Road House
Reminiscing about the days gone by
As the sun sets across the Red Dawn

    Congratulations...

Congratulations on your Silver trophy! This was a great piece in honor of a great man. I love the pics you posted as well although they make me want to cry. We have lost so many talented entertainers this years it is just so sad. Why do the good ones have to go and Patrick Swayze was one of the best.

Awww, I loved how you used the titles of some of his best known movies in your poem. That was really smart and creative, and it's such a blessing that he at least will always be in those movies. Such a talented actor he was.
    God Bless

Wow...awesome pics! I almost forgot about his character Julie, my husband is known to be his look a like and I had teased him that he should dress up like he did in that movie! Nice flow and the way you carried his film parts in nearly every stanza was clever. Enjoyed this very much, touching too. Thanks for entering. Blessings.
