Molly & Men.

There’s more fish in the sea,
Your mother once said, when
Some guy dropped you after
A two-week romance in
Which you had dinner a
Few times, went to shows and
Learnt to dance and got to
Know all the names of his
Favourite team and then
Recite them before he’d

Make love in his double
Bed. There’s more fish, Mother
Said, but she’d forgotten
Where, and the guy you were
Dating then was a creep
Amongst men, a fulltime
Loser, a liar and cheat
And a bottle a day
Boozer and even he
Walked out on you (what a
Relief that was) for some

One younger, beautiful
And with more wit (but that
Didn’t worry you one
Bit) and whom he later
Married and divorced all
Within the time it took
You to hook the next fish
From the sea of life who
Promised to marry you
Even though he had a
Wife and three kids and gay

Lover in downtown New
York. There’s more sea than fish,
Your mother said, more to
Life than catching men and
Having sex and marriage
And making it rich, she
Continued, even though
You’d left the room and went
To bed alone with just
The phantom men who lived
Within your troubled head
And played your broken heart.

True. can you remove the very last line? Your readers know you have a broken heart...we don't need you to spell it out for us. I promise-- your poem will become much richer without it.
