The sunrise summons strands of hope,
that spring eternal like birth of dawn.
Each day’s a promise of renewal,
a magic miraculous start.
Morning's first light’s spectacular,
erasing shadows from my mind.
Good feelings resurface, carrying
emotional tides to my heart.
I ponder on his proposal,
wondering if it's meant to be.
I’m filled with uncertainty
and the absurdity of life.
Wandering thoughts jump and flutter
from one idea to another.
Marriage and happiness await,
yet love remains intangible.
I pursued passionate love,
alive in body, mind and soul.
Yet fantasies are mere wishes,
flexible in design and goal.
Swapping romance for something real,
I’ll forgo foolish childhood dreams.
Like a vanishing illusion,
they’ll cease to be a part of me.

I really liked the alliteration in the first stanza, and how the title fits with the ending. Well done!
