Cumbersome Reality

  Cumbersome reality
split in facets fragmented
    in confusing conformity joined tidily arranged chaos

    Bewilderment stuns
through
    augmenting burdens, broken bag of errands
                uncried losses, load my heart-- torn

            Days go void glossed by
deranged spending—
      tormented attempt of savouring desperate joy
                in revelry gathering
                    of trivial treats
            exquisite, singular
            none the void fulfill

Striving fagged
  to achieve higher feats
                              despite dreams drowned in days begone
                                      assaying through merriment mourned
                                      aspirations asphyxiated

                      I feast upon forgotten fantasies
                            and former warmth out of reach

Might my indomitable spirit carve a breach
Through which the glimmer of past and future
Find a way through the flow of Time?
