Paraplu

on my way home yesterday
I would have appreciated one of these
it would have made me look slightly saner
than attempting to protect my head from the rain
with my prayer veil did

maybe...
when I prayed for rain
I should also have prayed for an umbrella

Author notes

that's the only thing I could come up with... lol, actually I should be studying for a history test right now

"paraplu" is Dutch and means umbrella

oh and one more thing, just to prevent sounding stupid - is a prayer veil maybe the obvious, a veil that you wear while praying?^^

    loooool that's hilarious!
and i happen to think that "paraplu" is a funny little word that totally goes with the poem
    well done.
    p.s. what's a prayer veil?
p.p.s. i went to hema twice when i was in amsterdam, they have really good food... for future reference

Wow, it's very close to the French, isn't it? (Parapluie) and here I thought Dutch was a cross between German and English...

yes, you'll be needing one this morning, from the look of things out there, too! I just had to come back in to grab a pair of Gummistiefel for my youngest that I just got at Lidl. (No HEMA around here that I know of, though now I will be on the lookout for one!)

The image of you dodging raindrops in your prayer veil is sweet -
good luck in your last year of school!
