a moon and wind poem

may i raise this single demand;
naked and parched,
lost
in the desert where i've grown?

love me like i want you to

I. i send the herd of wind that flocks in your pasture

between my lips
there is a hummingbird that sings
of only love: one we cannot reach with
sight but
songs

pluck me from the meadow of your dreams; move,
move me
like wind makes love to the curtains

and some time inbetween
translate me into this poem

II. your name best rhymes with moon

in the dark room of all lines i've untyped,
you are the moon with
no name:
a customized moon who neither rises nor sets
but smiles through the window
of my eyes

i will not question the wrinkles in your face
or the blotches of someone else's
kohl

for, once,

you simply rose from a morning dream
and justified
the raison d'être of love

i like how you structure your piece. The diction and the way a reader will utter your piece proves how fluid and effective you are as a poet. Vibrant, beautiful and brilliant my friend.

we miss you here and we are hoping you write more often.

hope to see a new piece from you the soonest.

I like how you use metaphor in this poem. As a legally blind man, I also appreciate this line, which really spoke to me while I read, "One we cannot reach by sight but with songs." I enjoyed reading this very much.

Van Gogh has always been one of my own favorite artists, as well. On an old movie recorded after I'd gone to bed was a documentary about the movie starring Kirk Douglas as Van Gogh - so much pertinent information was provided about the man. Very intriguing, as is this poem, Namita. Your writing always surpasses the so-called limitations of your youth, which is incredible, I think. Thank you for entering my contest, Sweetie. Good luck.

Van Gogh is one of my favourites too Thank you for the kind comments Wanda... and thank you for sparking something...my muse was too tired and dusty... so thank you so much!

And I think I've fixed the link problem. If there's still a problem let me know!

They both work fine, Namita. Thanks for fixing them. Ahhh, to stroll along that hill in Saint-Remy, ehhh? Beautiful. And, of course, "Starry Nights" is a longtime favorite, too.
